To promote and strengthen the scholarly exchange of national and international nursing research and data in the context of nursing workforce

Strategies

Goal 1. Enhance collaboration among member organizations/agencies and others regarding data, information and research

1. Share member agendas and survey organizations’ research
2. Share strategies and challenges of data collection and management
3. Explore opportunities for collaborative research and data sharing
4. Establish consultative relationships with member organizations/agencies, government agencies and others

Goal 2. Promote the use of standardized definitions and terminology in nursing research

1. Review and revise, as necessary, the standardized definitions
2. Disseminate the standardized definitions
3. Analyze the use of the standardized definitions

Goal 3. Facilitate the identification of established resources on national and international nursing research

1. Review and revise the resource document a minimum of every other year
2. Disseminate the resource document

Goal 4. Enhance the accessibility of data, information and research

1. Create and maintain web based linkages
2. Explore enhancements to extend web based access to data
3. Explore additional avenues for dissemination
