Mission
To promote and strengthen the scholarly exchange of national and international nursing research and data in the context of nursing workforce

Goals
- Enhance collaboration among member organizations/agencies and others regarding data, information and research
- Promote the use of standardized definitions and terminology in nursing research
- Facilitate the identification of established resources on national and international nursing
research
- Enhance the accessibility of data, information and research
Strategies
Goal 1. Enhance collaboration among member organizations/agencies and others regarding data, information and research
- Share member agendas and survey organizations’ research
- Share strategies and challenges of data collection and management
- Explore opportunities for collaborative research and data sharing
- Establish consultative relationships with member organizations/agencies, government agencies and others
Goal 2. Promote the use of standardized definitions and terminology in nursing research
- Review and revise, as necessary, the standardized definitions
- Disseminate the standardized definitions
- Analyze the use of the standardized definitions
Goal 3. Facilitate the identification of established resources on national and international nursing research
- Review and revise the resource document a minimum of every other year
- Disseminate the resource document
Goal 4. Enhance the accessibility of data, information and research
- Create and maintain web based linkages
- Explore enhancements to extend web based access to data
- Explore additional avenues for dissemination
