Mission
To promote and strengthen the scholarly exchange of national and international nursing research and data in the context of natioanl and global nursing workforce

Goals

  • Enhance collaboration among member organizations/agencies and others regarding data, information and research
  • Promote the use of definitions and terminology in nursing research supported by ICONS
  • Facilitate the identification of established resources on national and global nursing research
  • Enhance the accessibility of data, information and research


Strategies
Goal 1. Enhance collaboration among member organizations/agencies and others regarding data, information and research

  1. Share member organizations' research agendas and surveys
  2. Share strategies and challenges of data collection and management
  3. Explore opportunities for collaborative research and data sharing
  4. Establish consultative relationships with member organizations/agencies, government agencies and others


Goal 2. Promote the use of definitions and terminology in nursing research supported by ICONS

  1. Review and revise, as necessary, the common definitions
  2. Disseminate the definitions
  3. Analyze the use of the definitions


Goal 3. Facilitate the identification of established resources on national and global nursing research

  1. Review and revise the resource document as necessary
  2. Disseminate the resource document


Goal 4. Enhance the accessibility of data, information and research

  1. Create and maintain web based linkages
  2. Explore enhancements to extend web based access to data
  3. Explore additional avenues for dissemination
